INTRODUCTION

Silesia province of Poland is a home to many historical cities, i was happy to visit one of them, Legnica is rich with many histories it was first settled in the 13th century. Since then, Legnica has been ruled by various empires and countries, including the Kingdom of Bohemia, the Austrian Empire, and Germany. Today, Legnica is a thriving city with a rich history that is waiting to be explored.
Silesia province in Poland is home to many historical cities, one of which is Legnica. IN this post i will take a look at some of the history and highlights of this city base on what i saw during my visit to Legnica.

A HISTORICAL OVERVIEW OF LEGNICA

The city of Legnica is located in southwestern Poland and has a long and rich history. The first settlement on the site of present-day Legnica was a Slavic gord called Lvovice, which was built in the 9th century. In the 12th century, the town became a part of the Polish state and was renamed Legnica. The soviet union forces entered Poland as they advance towards the Nazi German. The city was part of the German Empire from 1871 and until the end of world war II, when majority of lower Silesian was transferred to Poland under border changes potsdam conference in German in 1945, when Poland was granted the recoveries territories. According to history Legnica became famous for the battle that took place at legnickie pole near the city on 9 April 1241 during the invasion of Mongol of Poland. when you go to old town you see almost the building are still standing and in used, it was go walking around the old town, I was opportune many historical things like the old building, churches, the cemetery chapel, Jews and Russian cemetery. this is just a summary of Legnica history.

THE CURRENT LEGNICA CITY,

The city of Legnica is one of the oldest cities in Poland, with a history that dates back over 800 years. The city has a rich and vibrant history, which is reflected in its architecture and cultural heritage.

Legnica was first founded in the 12th century, and it quickly became an important center of trade and commerce. The city flourished during the Middle Ages, and it was even granted a royal charter by King Bolesław II in 1248. Legnica continued to prosper throughout the years, and by the 19th century, it had become one of the largest and most important cities in Poland.
